During our trip to Sky Studios, we learnt about the production and creation of film and TV shows, as well as being given the opportunity to create our own short films and experience a virtual tour of the Studios in an on-sight cinema.

When we arrived, we were split into three groups and given different tasks to complete with our team members. The first activity my group completed was planning our short film and assigning production roles to each of our team members. Once we had achieved that, we discussed the jobs and roles within the film and TV industry and which role we thought would suit each of us the best.

Afterwards, we were taken downstairs to a mini cinema where we were shown a video that explained the layout of the Sky Studios site. We were able to experience the high quality of sound, video, and comfort in the cinema whilst being shown the site in detail.

When we were taken through to film our mini films, we were able to use a range of props and technological equipment which helped us to create our films exactly how we’d imagined. Working as a group and collaborating with each other allowed us to do this within the time we had and provided us with a memorable way of learning to be patient with each other.
