Autumn Chamber Concert, 10 October

Autumn Chamber Concert a fantastic performance opportunity  to showcase students talents

The Autumn Chamber Concert took place on Thursday 10 October and  was a great performance opportunity for students to showcase their talents and skills in a smaller, more intimate setting. We had students from every year group performing, and showing off a range of styles, from elegant piano pieces such as Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata” performed by Leo in year seven, to powerful songs such as “That’s Life” by Frank Sinatra, sung by Noah in year 13. We also saw some outstanding duet and ensemble performances, with a beautiful performance of “Dear Theodosia” from the musical Hamilton, performed by Aniela and Giulia Alves-Baggio in year 10, the sibling duo of Juliette and Natasha  in years 7 and 9 performing “My Life” by Billy Joel  on the piano and violin, as well as a spectacular performance from Cambiata, singing “I Sat Next To The Duchess At Tea” and “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head”. This event was a fantastic start to performing arts at Borlase for the 2024-25 school year, and sets a very high standard for the schools next music event, Rocktober, on November 14th.
